OUR MISSION STATEMENT
BBFSC encourages the instruction, practice, and advancement of the members in compulsory figures, free skating, pair
skating, dancing, and all types of figure skating; encourages and cultivates a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skaters;
sponsors, produces, or cooperates in the productions of amateur ice carnivals and shows; and generally performs such
other acts as may be necessary, advisable, proper or incidental in the realization of the objects and purposes of this
organization; and carries out the general policies of the United States Figure Skating Association.
WHO CAN JOIN BORDER BLADES?
Anyone who has an interest in advancing their skills in the area of ice skating and wants more individualized instruction
can become a member of the club.
The club arranges for practice ice times through the Grand Forks Park District and connects students with experienced
skating coaches. The club is also the vehicle through which competitions and testing are conveyed.
All BBFSC members must also be members of the United States Figure Skating Association. Contact our membership

BBFSC SYNCHRONIZED SKATING
Synchronized skating involves skaters that practice and perform together while synchronizing their movements. A line
usually consists of 12 to 20 skaters, who are grouped according to age and ability. Tryouts are normally held in the
summer or early fall of each year. For more information contact our synchro coordinator.

USFSA dues: $50.00 for the first family member
$20.00 for each subsequent member
Winter Ice fees: $200.00 per skater
Spring Ice fees: $100.00 per skater
Summer Ice fees: $150.00 per skater
Optional Class: Edge Class $40.00
Synchronized Team (2011-2012)
Emerald Blades: $671.09 (price does not reflect competition dress)
Onyx Blades: $1137.80
Sapphire Blades: $500.00
Diamond Blades: $500.00
Ruby Blades: TBD
Associate Club Member
Must be a home club member with current USFS dues paid
Border Blades dues $25/Member
Winter Ice fees: $250.00 per skater
Spring Ice fees: $125.00 per skater
Summer Ice fees: $175.00 per skater
Must take lessons from a Border Blades approved coach. No out of club coach will be
allowed to teach on Border Blades ice.
Optional Class: Edge Class $50.00
Non-Member / Walk On
Winter Ice fees: $50.00/week
This fee covers the following times:
Sunday 7-10 a.m.
Friday 6:45-8:45 p.m.
Summer Ice fees: $200.00
Must be home club member with current USFS dues paid
Must have a Border Blades liability waiver signed
Must have ice dues paid prior to skating
Border Blades dues: $50.00/Family
USFSA dues: $50.00 for the first family member
