Grand Forks, ND: Per the recommendation of the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) and ND Governor Burgum to avoid social gatherings in groups of more than 10 people, the Grand Forks Park District’s public facilities and programs will be closed March 18 – March 31. While the Park District Administrative Office will remain open, public facilities with heavy traffic, such as Choice Health & Fitness and the ice arenas, will close to the public until the end of March. Below are further details on the facility closing operations of today, March 17 through March 31.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Figure Skating has just issued a press release that strongly recommends that all club events and programs (competitions, test sessions, shows, etc.) are canceled or postponed through at least April 12.
Effective immediately, Border Blades will comply with this USFSA recommendation. Border Blades FSC is suspending all events through at least April 12th.
The suspension does include but not limited to the following: TODAY’S SYNCHRO PLACEMENT SESSION, ALL SYNCHRO PARTY, and TESTING.
Additional information will be released at a later time in regards to each specific event that is affected by this.
Border Blades FSC is saddened by this, but as always, our skaters and coaches health is our first priority.
Private Ice and lessons are on as scheduled. Please discuss with your coach if you have any concerns.
