Private Ice is available for those skaters who would like take private lessons with a Border Blades member coach, or to practice individually. Skaters must be a Home Club (includes Introductory) or Associate Member to purchase ice.
Border Blades does not arrange private lessons. Skaters who would like to take lessons, during private ice time, need to reach out to coaches to schedule lessons. Information about our Border Blades coaches can be found here: https://www.borderblades.org/coaches
Skating Academy is Border Blades Learn to Skate program. It follows the Learn to Skate program set forth by USFS and USA Hockey. IT provides beginning skating lessons for skaters who have never skated before or are just beginning. Skaters are coached by a combination of USFS and certified Learn to Skate coaches.
Purchase of a class as well as a Border Blades membership and Learn to Skate membership required.
Border Blades Aspire Program (previously named Bridge Program) provides skaters with a transition from Border Blades Skating Academy into private lessons through the use of small group lessons and the option to practice and/or take a private lesson on Border Blades ice. Skaters will learn to train like a figure skater, from edge class to spins and jumps!
The Border Blades Figure Skating Synchronized Skating Program is fun for all ages. It's goal is to promote teamwork, friendship and fun while providing a competitive atmosphere.
BBFSC offers six lines for all ages and ability of skater. From the Basic Skills and beginning skater all the way through the senior level skater.
Evaluations and placements are held each spring. Watch the calendar for dates and times.
Summer programs include some of the same programs offered year round, as well as specific programs only offered in the summer.
Summer programs are available to skaters from all clubs.
